It is a two-story brick building with one basement floor.
Kingo Tatsuno, who designed Tokyo Station, supervised the design, and his pupil Minoru Tanaka designed the building.
The building retains a strong "Tatsuno style" exterior.
Inside, a retro space with the scent of modernization of Karatsu in the Meiji and Taisho eras prevails.
